Phi Alpha Delta

Dear Bruins,

Hello! My name is Shreya Kollipara and I am the President of the UCLA Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta for the 2023-24 academic year. One of the best decisions I made as an undergraduate was choosing to rush Phi Alpha Delta (PAD), because it has truly changed the trajectory of my college career by opening doors for me, and also by giving me the strength to close some on my own.

PAD is an organization that is sincerely dedicated to academic excellence and professionalism, and these pillars manifest in very real ways at our UCLA chapter. The fraternity is undeniably a helpful and accessible resource for students with an interest in the legal field, and as an international student with little knowledge regarding the pre-law track, PAD really helped give me direction. From class study groups and LSAT support to interview preparation and internship offers, this fraternity prepares each member to thrive in the real world.

My favorite thing about our chapter, however, will always be the people. As one of the most diverse professional fraternities on campus, this community has encouraged me to learn and grow every single day. Becoming a lawyer is an ambitious goal, so it is important to surround yourself with genuine, energetic, and driven individuals who can work together to fulfill these aspirations. College provides students a unique opportunity to define who they are by what they study, the clubs they join, and the people they’re with — Phi Alpha Delta is an organization that transcends these definitions because it is truly for everybody.

As a senior at UCLA, I am honored to lead a group like this, and I strongly encourage interested students to rush this quarter and take advantage of all we have to offer!

Phi Alpha Delta is the largest international co-ed professional pre-law fraternity. Established in 1902, Phi Alpha Delta boasts over 650 chapters and 330,000 members.

Phi Alpha Delta's position as the world's preeminent pre-law fraternity is attributed to its dedication to service: service to the student, the school, the profession, and the community at large.

It is through devotion to the core founding ideals of Integrity, Compassion, Courage, Professionalism, Service, Diversity, and Innovation that Phi Alpha Delta betters both the legal profession profession and the community.

Through accepting our differences we become not just a law fraternity, but a family.
