Dear Bruins,
Hello! I’m Pilar Mvongo, the President of UCLA’s Phi Alpha Delta Chapter for the 2024-25 academic year. Joining Phi Alpha Delta (PAD) was one of the best decisions I made as an undergraduate. PAD has not only helped me to develop my professional skills, but it has helped me grow personally!
PAD is deeply committed to academic excellence and professionalism, and this commitment is evident in our UCLA chapter. The fraternity serves as an invaluable resource for students interested in the legal field. The path to law school can be scary and uncertain, but PAD has provided me with the guidance I need to demystify this process. From study groups and LSAT prep, to interview coaching and internship opportunities, the fraternity equips its members to succeed beyond college.
What I love most about our chapter, though, is the people. As one of the most diverse professional fraternities on campus, the community has inspired me to grow and learn every day, and through it I have made lifelong friendships and connections. Pursuing a law career is ambitious, so it’s crucial to surround yourself with passionate, driven individuals who share your goals. College offers a unique chance to shape your identity through your studies, the clubs you join, and the people you meet—and joining Phi Alpha Delta has been one of the defining moments of my time at UCLA.
As a senior, it’s an honor to lead such a group, and I encourage all interested students to rush in the Spring and experience what PAD has to offer!
Warm regards,
Pilar Mvongo
WHO WE ARE
Phi Alpha Delta is the largest international co-ed professional pre-law fraternity. Established in 1902, Phi Alpha Delta boasts over 650 chapters and 330,000 members.

Phi Alpha Delta's position as the world's preeminent pre-law fraternity is attributed to its dedication to service: service to the student, the school, the profession, and the community at large.

It is through devotion to the core founding ideals of Integrity, Compassion, Courage, Professionalism, Service, Diversity, and Innovation that Phi Alpha Delta betters both the legal profession profession and the community.
Through accepting our differences we become not just a law fraternity, but a family.
